City of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board, California (2014 grantee:  $6,000,000) serving under the project name of Los Angeles Regional Initiative for Social Enterprise (LA:RISE), is focusing its efforts on improving the employment outcome for their disadvantaged population within the downtown and surrounding areas.

An implementation strategy consisting of four components, transitions jobs; bridge jobs; training services; and supportive services; will increase sustained employment to the targeted population of the homeless, ex-offender and the disconnected youth while reducing turnover costs for employers.
